Lucas: Oh.. you know.. the same old Ethan!

This one dialogue from Fallout is the whole jist. Tom is still refreshing, energetic and ageless with his mind blowing stunts and coolness. Fallout is the 6th instalment of this action packed series Mission Impossible which was originally based on a TV series. The foundation built by the first three series was so strong that, now we can’t imagine a MI series without Tom Cruise. Mission impossible means Ethan Hunt and Ethan Hunt means Tom Cruise, that’ all! End of discussion! I know all of have had already watched the trailer of Fallout but still I will share it.

We all know what Mission Impossible is all about. There is a villain who is trying to destroy the world and he believes in the philosophy that There cannot be peace without, first, a great suffering and the greater the suffering, the greater the peace’ and to stop him from doing this, Ethan Hunt is set on a mission. Every instalment of this series has a different villain and different hurdles but Ethan will surpass them easily, and will save the world. The starting of the film was very normal, I thought that’s why they were focusing so much on stunts, the story is very normal but they proved me wrong!! As story moves, the grip is tightened with each suspense and event there is a twist in movie and at last I was convinced that the “very normal” starting of the movie was necessary to give the audience a much more fulfilling experience in the later part. 

Talking about the “impossible” things of Fallout, first and foremost, Tom Cruise!! What a work he has done!!! Amazing work! I mean if there’d be an Oscar for commercial Cinema then I think Tom would have won it a long time ago. HE IS THE SAME OLD ETHAN!!!!! I mean, there is nothing left which he has not done to entertain us. With the same energy, same attitude and same coolness he has done his work. And the remaining gaps are filled by the stunts. I mean, you will think, “Does he fear death??” the answer is NOOO!!!! There is nothing left for him, he has done all the stunts by himself! In Ghost Protocol he climed Burj Khalifa and I was like OKAY! This is the limit but again in Rogue Nation he was hanging out on a plane!!! And in this movie he has crossed the limits he is hanging on a rope attached to a helicopter! I was like, “man, you hate this life? huh??” 

Second, best thing is Cinematography, and especially of the action sequences, that helicopter sequence looked sooooo big, soooo big on screen that I got gossebumps while watching that scene. Two helicopters flying over mountains, and Tom Cruise hanging on a rope. That’s the beauty of that scene. 

In the starting you will think, when will the action come? When?? But when it comes, you will be like, please don’t end this please!! But the film makers knew that apart from Tom, action is what audience will be looking for and yessss!! This film will not leave you unsatisfied. You will love Tom while he runs on bike in the streets of Paris, you will love him when he did the HALO jump, you will love his sense of humour, you will love him in every aspect!!

The last and the most important thing which I observed was the audience reaction. In theatre, whenever there is a play going on stage, there is a big importance of audience reaction. Their reaction gives you an idea that how well the play is going on, is audience liking it? Such natural reactions were there in this movie. I mean on every big event or stunt audience was reacting. The scene when Tom jumped and broke off his ankle, even after knowing this fact, the audience reacted as if this was the first time they have seen it. What other thing a film maker wants apart from this, that audience so much related to their cast that if they are injured the audience is feeling bad. That’s a beautiful thing in this movie, every incident, suspense, fight scene, on everything the audience reacted and according to me that’s a great thing, it shown how much gripping your movie is. 

If someone asks me “how’s the movie?” I would just say “just like Ethan Hunt”.

ये एक line पूरी फिल्म का सार हैं, एक दम सही कहा हैं movie में, Tom Cruise आज भी वैसे ही हैं जैसे वो पहले थे, कोई बदलाव नही, कोई बुढ़ापा नही, वही energy, वही smartness, सब कुछ वही हैं जो पुरानी Mission Impossible series की फ़िल्मो में हुआ करता था| इस हफ्ते release हुई हैं फिल्म Mission Impossbile Fallout, इस से पहले इस series की पाँच और फ़िल्मे आ चुकी हैं और जो शुरू की तीन फ़िल्मे हैं उनकी तो बात ही अलग हैं, उनका कोई तोड़ नहीं हैं| उन तीन फ़िल्मो ने जो इस series को audience दी हैं, यही वजह हैं की जो इतने सालो बाद जब Ghost Protocol, Rogue Nation और आज Fallout आई हैं तो लोग पागलो की तरह इन्हे देखने जाते हैं और ये सब इतना अच्छा नही हो पता अगर इसमे Tom Cruise को ना लिया गया होता, शुरू की तीन फ़िल्मो को देखने के बाद आप ये मान ना ही छोड़ देंगे की इस फिल्म को कोई और भी कर सकता था, बस अगर आगे कोई Ethan Hunt होगा तो वो Tom Cruise ही होगा और कोई नही| क्यूँ कि Tom Cruise की acting और coolness ने ही इस फिल्म को इतना अच्छा बना ने में help करी हैं| फिल्म इतनी popular हैं की फिल्म चाहे अभी तक आपने फिल्म ना देखी हो, लेकिन आपने trailer तो देखा ही होगा, आप नही रोक सकते यार खुद को trailer देखने से, फिल्म की पूरी theme ही इतनी tempting हैं| आइए एक बार और देखते हैं|

अब अगर story की बात करे तो, film की एक outline तो आप सभी जानते हैं, कि Ethan एक ऐसी organization में काम करता हैं जिसका काम हैं दुनिया के उन सभी लोगो को मारना जो इस दुनिया के दुश्मन बने हुए हैं, पूरी series इसी outline पर चलती हैं, लेकिन हर बार कहानी कुछ अलग होती हैं, हर बार Ethan के सामने एक नया दुश्मन| इस फिल्म में भी, एक ऐसा ही दुश्मन हैं जिसका मान ना हैं की ‘There cannot be peace without, first, a great suffering and the greater the suffering, the greater the peace’ और उसे रोकेगा कौन? जवाब हम सभी को पता हैं, वो हैं  Ethan Hunt! फिल्म शुरू होती हैं, तो बहुत ही normal सा लगता हैं, ऐसा लगता हैं की जो इतना promotion किया इन्होने, वैसा तो कुछ ख़ास लग नही रहा, लेकिन जैसे जैसे फिल्म आगे बढ़ती हैं, तब आपको लगता हैं कि हाँ! जो शुरू में स्टोरी build up हो रही थी वो ज़रूरी था करना वरना बाद में इतना मज़ा नही आता| फिल्म की story मुझे Rogue Nation से काफ़ी better, क्यूँ कि फिल्म में जो बीच बीच में छोटे मोटे suspense हैं, वो पूरी फिल्म को as a whole बढ़िया grip देते हैं|

अब अगर फिल्म की अच्छी बाते करी जाए तो सबसे पहले आते हैं Tom Cruise, ये इंसान बुढ़ा ही नही हो रहा हैं! मतलब फिल्म में Tom को देख कर लगेगा ही नही की इस इंसान की उम्र बढ़ रही हैं | एक दम वही energy, एक दम वही attitute, जो आज से 22 साल पहले आई Mission Impossible में था| बहुत ही बढ़िया काम!! और जो कमी बच जाती हैं वो Tom ने stunts करके पूरी कर दी| मतलब ऐसा कोई stunt नही जिसमे आपको ये ना लगे कि "ये Tom Cruise को डर नही लगता क्या?????", मेरा मतलब की अब क्या बच गया हैं Tom भाई करने को? ?? सब तो कर लिया, अब आगे क्या??? भाई तुम building के उपर से कूद गये!! भाई तुम plane से कूद गये!! भाई तुम helicopter के नीचे लटक गये!!! और क्या? मुझे लगा था की Ghost Protocol में Burj Khalifa से लटक गये अब क्या ही करोगे? लेकिन फिर Rogue Nation में प्लेन से लटक गये! फिर लगा अब कुछ नही बचा तो तुम उड़ते helicopter पर लटक गये!!! salute हैं तुम्हे, इस काम के लिए तो!!

दूसरी बात, फिल्म की Cinematography, बहुत ही प्यारी हैं, ख़ासकर की action sequences में, एक अलग ही feel आती हैं पूरी movie में! लगता हैं देख कर कि हाँ Mission Impossible देखने आए हैं!

तीसरी बात, फिल्म में जो helicopter वाला sequence हैं, वो तो कुछ अलग ही मज़ा देता हैं, मतलब फिल्म की starting में आप सोचेगे की कब action आए, धूम धड़ाका हो, और जब sequences आने लगते हैं, तो आप ऐसे हो जाते हैं कि काश अब ये ख़त्म ना हो, लेकिन ये movie आपको पूरा satisfy करे बिना नही मानेगी! एक के बाद एक action sequences और एक से एक| पर ये जो helicopter वाला sequence हैं, वो तो सबसे best हैं| I mean उसकी cinematography उस scene को बहुत ही ज़यादा बड़ा बना देती हैं, उसके उपर Tom Cruise और उनके stunts! amazing!!!

सबसे बढ़िया बात जो मैने observe करी फिल्म देखते वक़्त वो ये थी कि, फिल्म में जिसे ही कुछ बड़ा होता था, तो audience हर बात पे एक दम natural reaction देती थी| मैने theatre में ये खूब देखा और सुना हैं, कि हर नाटक मे audience reaction बहुत ज़रूरी होता हैं, वही आपको बताता हैं की audience कितने ध्यान से देख रही हैं और यही हुआ इस फिल्म में भी, audience हर चीज़ पर react कर रही थी, जब Tom Cruise की वो jump आती हैं जिसमे उनका ankle टूट गया था, तो audience ये  fact पता होने के बाद भी ऐसा react करती हैं जैसे उन्हे ये पहली बार पता चला हो| मतलब audience वो दुख दिखाती हैं Tom के लिए! दूसरा जब भी कोई suspense खुलता हैं तो audience उसमे भी react करती हैं! और lastly, वो helicopter वाला sequence, उसमे तो audience ने ताली ही बजा दी थी और सच में वो scene इतना ही कमाल का हैं! ऐसे reactions सिर्फ़ इसीलिए क्यू कि फिल्म वाकई में ऐसे moments देगी की आप भी naturally react करेगे|

अगर कोई मुझसे पूछे कि How’s the movie? तो मैं यही कहूँगा “Just like Ethan Hunt”
